Hala means plough; this postures resembles a plough. From the final position of Sarvangasana, Halasana should be practiced directly. Means you should be in Sarvangasana position, then need to take further steps for Halasana.
1. From the final position of Sarvangasana, lower the legs over the head from their vertical position, taking the hips and chest slightly back. Simultaneously, release Carbon dioxide or exhale completely.
2. Do not bend the knees but extend the legs further, and touch the floor with the toes. Breathing will be normal. Be in the same position for 30 seconds.
3. While coming to normal position, press the ground with the help of palm and straighten the knees, and come to first Sarvangasana and then to lying position.

1. Liver patients, TB patients should avoid this Asana.
